Treaty 7 was signed on September 22, 1877, at Blackfoot Crossing. This agreement involved representatives from the Canadian government and the Siksika (Blackfoot), Kainai (Blood), Piikani (Peigan), Tsuut'ina (Sarcee), and Stoney-Nakoda nations, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations.

We respect everyone who shares, celebrates, and cares for the Treaty 7 territory in Southern Alberta, honoring the original stewards of the land who remind us of the enduring histories that precede us.
